Port Street Market in Stirling
Just a reminder that we'll be at the Port Street Market in Stirling tomorrow (Saturday, March 29th) from 10am until 4pm. Most of the regulars from the Stirling Farmers' Market will be attending, so there will be lots of fresh, local produce as well as handmade jams; freshly baked breads and cakes; smoked fish from both coasts; a selection of fresh fish and seafood; a selection of fresh meats including buffalo, venison, and beef; gluten-free treats; a selection of locally-produced fruit juices, and of course lovely handmade soaps! We hope you'll come out for a browse.

Spiced Umeshu Soap

I've been searching for one last soap to complete the Longcroft 2008 collection. I tested a few, but nothing jumped out at me until I made this soap: Spiced Umeshu. Based on the lovely Japanese plum wine, this fruity soap is warmed with subtle notes of plum, cinnamon, and clove all resting on a base of amber and patchouli. I think this might be my new favourite.

New Buttermilk & Cucumber Soap

I've been busy in the soap kitchen cooking up some new limited edition soaps, and here is the latest: Buttermilk & Cucumber. This soothing bar is made with fresh cucumber and rich, creamy buttermilk. It's very lightly scented with a hint of oceanic cucumber. Great for when you're feeling a bit fragile.

New Limited Edition Soap

I decided it was time for something citrus -- very citrus -- grapefruit, mandarin, lemon, and lime citrus. The result is Gracefruit. It's zingy, zesty, and fresh. I hope you like it was much as I do.

Our 2008 Soap Collection is Here!
It's been busy here at Longcroft Soap Company. Our market season is in full swing, and we've been working hard in the soap kitchen cooking up some wonderful new soaps for our customers to try. We've said goodbye to a few old favourites for now, and are pleased to introduce four newcomers to the 2008 Longcroft Soap Collection: French Laundry, Highland Breakfast Soap, Holiday with Cary, and Pomegranate Martini. We hope you'll love our new soaps as much as we do.
